Just before we head to bed, Kim and I step outside every night to take it all in. The shimmery stars or clots of clouds, the ear-ringing silence or the roar of waves breaking on Lake Huron's shore. Maybe there's a distant hoot of a great-horned, or the fresh tracks of the fox across our front steps.
It's a daily grounding. We count to 10 and scan the skies for falling stars before turning in.
“I sometimes feel far away from the life a younger me expected I’d live. And sometimes, I want to look back and say, No, baby girl, this is the life you were always forging. You just can’t see the true shape of a thing from a great distance. And both are brilliant—the imagined and the formed. It’s like the resemblance between finished pieces (or as close as you can come to such a thing) and first drafts. It’s like naming a distance in years.”
— So excited to read what’s coming next from you :)
Life is full! Looking forward to your chat with Joshua. And everything else you’re cooking up.
Good to hear news of Holly!
❤️
Welcome back, Holly! You sound all aglow!
Sending love your way, and huge appreciation for the many ways you show up in this life, especially in these symbols we call words.
So great to see your name in my inbox!
Sorry to miss the live podcast--meeting at that time, but will catch later. You will be a star!
I like imagining you looking up at stars telling the you looking down at some undreamt version that all is good, all is right.
Got you and Josh in my calendar!
💕💕💕🌠
I watched you ad Josh, missed the first few minutes due WiFi glitches but loved being there Holly.
You are missed beautiful lady, I am excited to see what you will be holding in your starry heart when you return. xx
I can not wait for more!

Be sure to look for the Geminid showers the next two nights! (December 13 + 14: https://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/everything-you-need-to-know-geminid-meteor-shower/).
Standing and looking at the sky is the very best thing one can do.
It really is.
I was just looking to see if there was any clear times over the next couple nights. Might have a couple of small windows sans overcast.
Kind of a beautiful thing to think of us looking at the same sky. 💕
That's sweet, Holly. You're right. Wishing you clear skies and big, wonderful sighs.
I loved this little snippet, Holly —
